Most manufacturers state the cycle count just to define when the battery is considered 'consumed' (since the battery is considered a 'consumable' part) but the limit doesn't really change the normal deterioration of the battery.

It is not a 'maximum' cycle count, and it doesn't mean the battery stops working.
